Job summary

U.S. Secret Service in the United States is seeking special agents to perform investigations and protective duties across the nation and abroad, including assignments at multiple duty stations.

This role requires rigorous training, Top Secret clearance, and adherence to strict eligibility criteria. You will train at FLETC and the James J. Rowley Training Center and must be willing to relocate to support national security missions.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Possess a current valid driver's license.
• Carry and use a firearm; firearm proficiency required.
• Be at least 21 and under 37 at conditional offer, with exceptions for prior federal service.
• Must obtain and retain Top Secret clearance.
• Uncorrected visual acuity 20/100 binocular; corrected 20/20 or better each eye.
• Hearing must not exceed 25 dB in specified frequencies.
• Submit to drug testing before appointment and during employment.
• Complete 13 weeks at FLETC, plus 18 weeks at training centers.
• Sign mobility agreement to accept assignments nationwide and overseas.
• Register with Selective Service or be exempt if male born after 1959.

Responsibilities

• Providing protection for various protectees.
• Conducting criminal investigations pertaining to financial obligations of the United States.
• Planning and implementing security designs for National Special Security Events.
