Job summary

U.S. Secret Service seeks capable agents to perform investigations and protective duties, with potential assignments to multiple duty stations across the United States and abroad. Candidates must meet stringent requirements including U.S.

citizenship, valid driver's license, firearm proficiency, and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. Training at FLETC and JTRTC is required. This role offers unique opportunities to serve the nation with honor while facing demanding challenges

Qualifications

U.S. citizenship is required.
Possess a current valid driver's license.
Carry and use a firearm; firearm proficiency is mandatory.
Be at least 21 years old and under 37 at conditional offer (with exceptions for prior federal service).
Must obtain and retain Top Secret clearance.
Uncorrected visual acuity not worse than 20/100; corrected 20/20 or better.
Hearing must not exceed 25 dB in specified ranges.
Submit to drug testing and random testing.
Complete 13 weeks at FLETC and 18 weeks at JTRTC.
Sign mobility agreement for assignments nationwide and overseas.
Register with the Selective Service or be exempt for male applicants born after 1959.

Responsibilities

Providing protection for various protectees.
Conducting criminal investigations pertaining to financial obligations of the United States.
Planning and implementing security designs for National Special Security Events.
