Job summary

U.S. Secret Service seeks special agents to perform investigations and protective duties across the United States and abroad. You'll work on protecting protectees and conducting financial investigations, with assignments to multiple duty stations and high-profile security events.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, meet stringent physical and training requirements, and be willing to relocate nationwide or overseas. A recruitment incentive may be available.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Possess a current valid driver's license.
• Carry and use a firearm. Proficiency is mandatory.
• Be at least 21 and under 37 at conditional offer, with exceptions for prior federal service.
• Top Secret Clearance required and maintained.
• Uncorrected 20/100 binocular or 20/20 in each eye with correction.
• Hearing not exceeding 25 dB in specified frequencies.
• Submit to drug tests before appointment and during tenure.
• Sign mobility agreement to accept assignments nationwide and overseas.
• Register with Selective Service or be exempt if born after 1959.

Responsibilities

• Provide protection for protectees.

• Plan and implement security for National Special Security Events.
