Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC has a potential need for an Access Control Officer to support our government customer in Alexandria, VA. Responsibilities include managing access to government facilities, verifying badges, and maintaining logs and inventories under SOPs.

The role requires US citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance. Qualified candidates will have experience with DISS or Scattered Castles, CPR/AED certification, and the ability to work long shifts and adhere to written instructions

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience utilizing security systems such as DISS or Scattered Castles.
• Must be CPR and AED certified.
• Must be able to perform prolonged walking, standing, sitting and stooping for up to 12 hours.
• Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
• Must be able to understand and apply printed rules, detailed orders/instructions and training materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide access control services for government facility locations identified within the IDIQ and task orders.
• Control access of personnel, equipment, and media going into and out of secure facilities.
• Conduct face-to-face ID checks to verify badges for facility access.
• Issue ESCORT REQUIRED badges to un-cleared personnel including visitors, custodial, and contractors.
• Verify visitor clearance levels in DISS or Scattered Castles and issue appropriate badges.
• Conduct random entry/exit inspections.
• Process entry-exit forms and document reviews for COR.
• Utilize CMS (Lenel) to verify 100% access for cleared and un-cleared individuals.
• Maintain shift logs and sign-in sheets; track government-furnished equipment inventory.
• Notify authorities of any life-threatening or security incidents.
