Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Customer Service Representative - Eligibility Specialist (ES) to handle high-volume inbound calls about Medicaid, SNAP and TANF. The role processes applications, maintains cases, and guides clients through eligibility rules from the Marion, IN site.

Base rate is $18.00/hr with opportunities for bonuses and career advancement. The position runs 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday, onsite in Marion.

Qualifications

• Proven customer support or client service experience preferred.
• Ability to handle complex service inquiries by telephone.
• Accurate data entry at 40 keystrokes per minute.
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, assess, and screen applications; collect missing information.
• Validate income, assess eligibility, and manage case referrals.
• Interact daily with program participants and educate about services.
• Enter data into the state eligibility system and prepare cases for disposition.
• Meet quality, metrics, and policy requirements.
