MaineGuide is seeking an Eligibility Specialist II in Lewiston, ME. This role focuses on connecting Maine residents to MaineCare, SNAP, and TANF, determining eligibility with accuracy, and coordinating across programs to support families and individuals.

The position emphasizes strong communication, problem solving, and teamwork in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment with partial telework approval.

Qualifikationen

• A four (4) year combination of education, training, and/or progressively responsible experience in a social services setting.
• Experience interviewing and gathering data for eligibility determinations, claims resolutions, or customer service requests.
• Bachelor degree as an alternative qualification.

• Evaluate information and apply program standards to determine eligibility for MaineCare, SNAP, and TANF.
• Use multiple systems to enter, review, and verify eligibility-related data.
• Explain program rules and decisions in writing, over the phone, and in person.
• Review documents to ensure completeness and compliance.
• Assist individuals with accessing additional programs and services.
