Job summary

Savista is seeking an Eligibility Specialist I to support patients navigating Medicaid, Medicare, disability, and hospital charity programs. You’ll assess eligibility, discuss options, and help families understand financial assistance available.

This full-time, on-site role at Bryan Medical Center East Campus in Lincoln offers schedule Mon–Fri 8:00am–4:30pm, with some flexibility. Proficiency in English and Spanish, strong communication, and compassion are essential, with a collaborative CARE

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish.
• 1+ years in a customer-facing role in healthcare or related field.
• Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, and disability programs.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for patients and assess eligibility for financial assistance.
• Contact patients by phone to complete screenings and document submissions.
• Guide through Medicaid, Medicare, disability, and charity care applications.
• Coordinate with hospital staff and government agencies to secure coverage.
• Manage high case loads and meet deadlines per KPIs.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant records and use multiple systems.
• Provide staffing coverage at nearby locations as needed.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
