Savista is seeking an Eligibility Specialist I to help patients access financial assistance programs, navigating Medicaid, Medicare, disability, and charity care. You will meet patients in person or by phone, explain options with empathy, and guide families through complex applications while protecting privacy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish.
• 1+ years of customer-facing experience in healthcare or related fields.
• Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security Disability.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Meet with patients in-person to assess eligibility for financial assistance.
• Reach out by phone to support screenings and document submission.
• Guide patients through Medicaid, Medicare, Disability, and hospital charity applications.
• Coordinate with hospital staff and government agencies to secure coverage and resolve issues.
• Manage a high caseload and meet deadlines while maintaining KPI standards.
• Explain financial responsibilities clearly and empathetically.
• Maintain confidential patient records in HIPAA-compliant systems.
• Use multiple systems to document and report patient information.
• Provide staffing support at nearby locations as needed.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
