Job summary

Cook Inlet Tribal Council, Inc. seeks Eligibility Technicians I–IV in the Financial Assistance Department to process applications and maintain participant files. You will collect data, conduct interviews, determine eligibility, and coordinate services to assist participants in meeting financial needs.

Responsibilities include documenting case notes, communicating with partners, and ensuring timely payments. This role requires strong communication, data entry accuracy, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or GED.
• Associate's degree majoring in Business, Accounting or related field; experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
• Bachelor's degree majoring in Business, Accounting or related field; may require lead/ supervisory experience.
• Minimum four years related work experience for Eligibility Technician IV; one year in a lead or supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Become proficient with regulations, policies, and procedures of CITC programs and services.
• Establish rapport with participants and partners.
• Screen, assess and refer to meet participant needs.
• Gather documentation for income, resources, expenses, ID and other relevant items.
• Conduct interviews and determine eligibility within timeframes.
• Communicate eligibility statuses with participants and staff.
• Issue supportive services and ensure payments to vendors within timeframes.
• Maintain participant files and document data entries.
• Assist with training and development of procedures.
• Work as part of the departmental team and attend meetings.
