Job summary

State of Florida, Office of Economic Self-Sufficiency, is seeking an OPS Government Operations Consultant I to support statewide eligibility operations in Riviera Beach. The role focuses on processing eligibility actions, researching issues, and ensuring compliance with federal/state requirements.

The position requires analytical ability, attention to detail, and effective communication to collaborate with statewide ESS leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience with public assistance eligibility operations.
• Experience reviewing eligibility cases for accuracy and compliance.
• Knowledge of data analysis and operational reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office apps.

Responsibilities

• Review and process eligibility case actions requiring research, clarification, correction, or additional operational attention.
• Analyze case information and system data to determine next steps for applications, renewals, changes, and redeterminations.
• Research and resolve case discrepancies, alerts, eligibility errors, and missing information.
• Review cases for compliance with eligibility policies, federal/state requirements, and ESS instructions.
• Perform case research using Department systems, databases, reports, and electronic case records.
• Identify and address cases approaching/exceeding processing timeframes and escalate barriers as needed.
• Assist with statewide efforts to reduce pending workloads and improve timely disposition.
• Develop tracking mechanisms for actions, issues, referrals, and corrective actions.
• Prepare reports and management information related to eligibility operations.
