Job summary

Eastern Elevator, part of American Elevator Group (AEG), seeks an Administrative Testing Coordinator for our Windber, PA office to coordinate elevator testing activities and ensure inspections are completed safely and on schedule.

You will work closely with field mechanics, inspectors, customers, property managers, municipalities, and internal teams to coordinate testing, documentation, repairs, and follow-up requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience in the elevator industry, preferably in testing, service, inspections, or operations.
• Knowledge of elevator testing and inspection requirements preferred.
• Familiarity with local and state elevator codes and AHJ requirements preferred.
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn company software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all required elevator testing and inspections with customers, mechanics, inspectors, and AHJs.
• Maintain an accurate testing schedule and ensure tests meet deadlines.
• Coordinate annual, periodic, acceptance, and other required testing.
• Track testing results, deficiencies, violations, and required repairs until completion.
• Communicate testing requirements, schedules, and results to customers and internal teams.
• Coordinate mechanics and subcontractors needed to complete testing and corrective work.
• Ensure documentation, test reports, inspection reports, and certificates are completed and maintained accurately.
• Monitor upcoming deadlines and identify potential scheduling conflicts or compliance issues.
• Follow up on failed tests, violations, and outstanding repairs for timely retesting.
• Maintain accurate records in company systems and provide regular status reports to management.
