Job summary

KONE is seeking a Service Training Specialist – Technician Experience to develop the next generation of elevator technicians and supervisors. You will plan and conduct training programs covering service, maintenance, repair methods, and operational processes, collaborating with Service Operations to close competency gaps.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in the elevator industry, demonstrated leadership in mentoring teams, and strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on elevator industry experience.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, training, or developing elevator personnel.
• Strong service operations knowledge with troubleshooting expertise.
• Experience delivering training in classroom, virtual, field, or on-the-job environments.
• Experience working in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct technical training programs for technicians.
• Collaborate with Service Operations to identify competency development needs.
• Develop and localize training programs for regional needs.
• Ensure training content reflects real-world technician challenges and best practices.
• Support competency assessments, certification programs, and development planning.
• Coach technicians and frontline leaders in support of operational excellence initiatives.
• Maintain and analyze training records to measure effectiveness.
• Stay current on elevator technology and adult learning practices.
• Ensure all training facilities meet KONE standards.
