Job summary

TK Elevator is seeking an experienced Superintendent- Modernization in Manhattan, NY. This role focuses on managing modernization projects and crews to ensure timely, profitable completion and growth aligned with annual plans.

Responsibilities include supervising field staff, enforcing safety programs, planning and prioritizing projects, and coordinating with owners, consultants, and contractors to deliver high-quality elevator modernization work.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising modernization projects.
• Strong knowledge of safety programs in construction.
• Ability to plan, direct and prioritize elevator modernization work.
• Ability to review progress, identify risks and communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise modernization field staff, provide direction and training.
• Administer safety program and conduct safety audits.
• Plan and prioritize projects and manpower; use scheduling tools.
• Review job status and financials; report issues and opportunities.
• Manage sites from survey to completion; liaise with customers.
• Coordinate subcontractors on turnkey projects.
• Maintain relationships with owners, consultants and architects.
• Approve change orders, POs and turnover documents.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable codes and SOPs.
