Job summary

Metro Elevator NW, Inc. is seeking a Modernization Field Coordinator in Tukwila, WA.

This in-office role runs 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM and focuses on capturing accurate field measurements for elevator modernization projects, converting them into survey packages for vendors, and coordinating AHJ permit applications. Ideal candidates are recent graduates with strong attention to detail, comfort with fieldwork and documentation, and a desire to advance toward Modernization Superintendent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience; internships or co-ops in construction or vertical transportation are a plus.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational habits.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/mechanical/electrical drawings.
• Comfortable taking precise field measurements using tape measures and laser distance meters.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site field surveys of hoistways, machine rooms, pits, overheads, entrances, and related areas; record dimensions and photos.
• Compile survey data into clean, standardized documents for vendor submission.
• Prepare and submit vendor submittal packages; track review status and revisions.
