Job summary

American Services Group Inc. is seeking an Elevator Apprentice to assist a certified elevator mechanic on repair jobs in Rockport, IN area. You will help transport tools and materials, hold and secure parts, and keep work sites organized.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma, and knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, engines or HVAC. A valid driver’s license and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, engines or HVAC.
• Elevator experience or technical military training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Mechanic with elevator repairs.
• Transport tools, equipment and materials to job sites.
• Hold, position and secure parts during installation or repair tasks.
• Clean machine parts, rails and cables as instructed.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
• Help troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized work site and tool area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
