American Elevator Group is seeking an Apprentice to work out of the St. Louis area. The role involves assisting mechanics with elevator repairs, transporting tools, and maintaining safety standards on site.

The position requires basic mechanical knowledge, ability to lift heavy items, and a valid driver's license. Prior elevator experience or military training is highly valued, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, engines or HVAC is a must.
• Elevator experience or technical military training preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Mechanic with elevator repairs.
• Transport tools, equipment, and materials to/from work sites.
• Hold, position, and secure parts during installation or repair tasks.
• Clean machine parts, rails, and cables as instructed.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
• Help troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical/electrical issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment at job sites.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
