Unitec Elevator LIC in Long Island City, NY is hiring an Apprentice to assist a Mechanic on construction jobs, manage tools, and support elevator repair work. The role involves lifting, handling parts, and maintaining safety on diverse job sites.

The candidate should have at least 2 years of relevant experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, and basic hydraulics/electrical knowledge. A valid driver’s license is required for the cargo van.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience.
• Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous knowledge and experience with hydraulics, electrical, engines or HVAC is required
• Elevator experience or technical military training is highly preferred

Responsabilités

• Assist the Mechanic with the repair of existing elevators.
• Transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from work sites.
• Hold, position, and secure parts during installation or repair tasks.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
• Help with troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues.
