Job summary

Qualifications

• Hold a National Association of Amusement Ride Safety Officials Certification.
• Hold a National Association of Elevator Safety Authorities Certification.
• Thorough knowledge of state elevator/amusement device codes and applicable building and fire prevention codes.
• Ability to read construction plans and evaluate safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretations for elevator and amusement ride codes in enforcement situations.
• Inspect installations to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Investigate complaints and negotiate solutions with stakeholders.
• Serve as an expert witness in court regarding code violations.
• Recruit, supervise, and train staff to ensure high performance.
