Job summary

Qualifications

• Five years of professional experience working with elevators.
• Certification as a Qualified Elevator Inspector (ASME QEI-1) is required.

Responsibilities

• Travel to sites and conduct elevator re-inspections.
• Examine plans, specifications, and permit applications for new installations.
• Investigate elevator-related accidents and damages over $1,000.
• Perform safety tests on lifts and related equipment.
• Climb shafts, pits, and cabs as part of inspections.
