Job summary

KIPP Massachusetts is seeking an Elementary School Teaching Fellow for the 2027-2028 year, joining kindergarten through fourth grade classrooms in Greater Boston. Fellows will co-teach with Lead Teachers, participate in daily instruction, and develop through a year of intensive coaching and professional development.

This full-time role emphasizes relationship-building with students and families, growth in teaching craft, and eligibility for a partial BU Graduate School of Education tuition

Qualifications

• Passion for subject/content area and professional learning.
• Desire to become proficient in the craft of teaching through practice, coaching, and professional development.
• Prior experience working with children encouraged, but not required.
• Strong organizational skills and oral and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy and baseline familiarity with Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead classroom instruction with co-teaching and solo teaching.
• Develop unit and daily lesson plans using provided curricula/resources.
• Set specific, ambitious growth goals for all students and track progress.
• Maintain strong communication with families regarding student growth and progress.
• Participate in school-wide professional development and coaching.
• Support necessary duties including coverage, bus, lunch, etc.
