Qualifications

• Meets Georgia certification requirements in appropriate field of education.
• Bachelor's degree in education from a PSC-approved college or university.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan for appropriate learning experiences based on the district AKS curriculum.
• Demonstrate command of the subject being taught.
• Develop and prioritize short and long-term instructional objectives based on AKS.
• Identify prerequisite skills and knowledge for AKS learning.
• Plan instruction to achieve mastery of prerequisite skills.
• Assess student work to determine instructional needs.
• Prepare written lesson plans supporting AKS objectives.
• Plan appropriate assessment of student learning.
• Evaluate, select, and modify resources and activities to match AKS.
