Qualifications

• Knowledge of GCPS AKS curriculum and district standards.
• Ability to align instruction with AKS and GCPS policies.
• Understanding of the teaching/learning process and instructional design.
• Ability to integrate technology to enhance student learning.
• Collaborate effectively with administrators, staff, students, and families.

Responsibilities

• Plan lessons aligned to the AKS curriculum and create an environment conducive to students' development.
• Demonstrate command of the subject matter and plan instructional objectives.
• Develop prereqs to support AKS mastery and plan instruction accordingly.
• Assess student work to inform instructional needs and adjust plans.
• Prepare written lesson plans supporting AKS objectives for all students.
• Plan appropriate assessments of student learning.
• Evaluate and select resources that match the AKS and learner needs.
• Provide clear learning objectives and connect content to prior knowledge and real-world contexts.
• Organize content logically and present in teachable blocks or steps.
• Apply evidence-based instructional strategies to promote learning.
• Provide formative and summative assessments and communicate results to students and parents.
• Create a productive classroom environment with smooth transitions and orderly routines.
• Maintain professional responsibilities, participate in professional growth, and model expectations.
