Job summary

KIPP Philadelphia Public Schools (KPPS) is seeking a SPED full-time classroom teacher to support students with special needs in an urban setting. You will develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and coordinate with families and staff to ensure student progress.

Applicants should have 2+ years of SPED teaching experience and Pennsylvania certification (Level I or II) preferred; uncertified candidates must enroll in a PA-certified program within a year.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of SPED full-time teaching experience in an urban setting preferred.
• PA State certification Level I or II preferred; if uncertified, enroll in PA-approved certification within one year of hire and submit transcripts on hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver SPED instruction and support services according to IEPs and school policy.
• Engage families and coordinate with special education staff to implement interventions.
