Job summary

Applitrack is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional for an elementary setting in Fox Hollow. Two positions are available, working 5.75 hours per day.

The role provides support within the special education program, assisting in classrooms, implementing IEP goals and supervising students during non-class times. The position includes varied instructional and clerical duties, with opportunities to participate in in-district training to advance to higher lanes.

Qualifications

• Age 16+.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must complete mandatory employee training within the first 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities, assignments and materials under supervision to support classroom objectives and IEP goals.
• Administers immediate first aid and medical assistance as instructed to meet health care needs.
• Administers tests, homework and make-up work to support teachers.
• Assists data collection to monitor student progress.
• Assists students with self-care activities to maintain personal hygiene.
• Assists students with lesson assignments to reinforce learning concepts and goals.
• Attends trainings and meetings to acquire relevant job information.
• Communicates with supervising staff to evaluate progress and implement IEP/504 objectives.
• Models appropriate behavior to guide students in social and interpersonal skills.
• Implements behavioral plans identified in student IEPs under supervision.
• Maintains instructional materials and records and classroom equipment.
• Monitors students in various school environments to maintain safe learning.
• Performs clerical duties to ensure efficient operations.
• Provides instruction to students in various activities to reinforce objectives and 504 plans.
• Reports observations and incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Supervises and escorts students to classes for safety and order.
