Job summary

Wonderful College Prep Academy in California is seeking a Primary School SPED Instructional Assistant (Speech) to support lead teachers with high expectations and inclusive classrooms.

The role involves 1:1 and small group instruction, behavior and medical support, and collaboration with families. Strong knowledge of IEPs, RTI, and ABA strategies is valued; CPI and first aid certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with school-aged children, especially those with special needs.
• Supports 1:1 or small group instruction and interventions in classrooms.
• Familiarity with IEP documentation and SPED reporting software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support a shared vision of excellence for all students and maximize opportunities for outcomes.
• Provide 1:1 or small group instruction as directed by the supervisor.
• Supervise campus before, during, and after school; assist with transportation duties when needed.
• Assist with clerical tasks, translating, and administrative duties for SPED.
• Lead classroom in lead teacher's absence.
