Job summary

Wonderful College Prep Academy in California's Central Valley seeks a Primary School SPED Instructional Assistant (Speech) to support students with special needs in classroom and common areas. The role requires 1:1 or small group instruction, behavior and medical support, and collaboration with lead teachers.

Strong communication with families is expected. Candidates should be familiar with IEP processes, RTI, ABA, and CPR/First Aid; the school offers full-time status and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with school-aged children and students with special needs.
• Familiarity with IEP documentation and related software (Siras).
• Ability to implement lessons aligned to state standards; support RTI and co-teaching strategies.
• Training in ABA and de-escalation techniques is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support 1:1 or small group instruction as directed by the lead teacher.
• Assist with behavioral and medical needs and classroom interventions.
• Provide campus supervision before, during, and after school; assist with transport as needed.
• Lead classroom activities in the lead teacher's absence; participate in professional development.
• Administer first aid and assist with toileting as necessary; follow district procedures.
