Qualifications

• Associates degree is required.
• Bachelors degree preferred.
• Substitute Permit preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Experience with school-aged children, including those with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Supports classroom learning with 1:1 or small group instruction.
• Assists with behavioral and medical needs as needed.
• Supervises before/after school and during lunch.
• Translates/interprets and performs clerical tasks.
• Leads the classroom in the absence of the lead teacher.
• Participates in professional development and planning sessions.
• Supports day-to-day school activities and events.
• Administers first aid or necessary physical assistance when required.
