Wonderful College Prep Academy is hiring a Special Education Instructional Assistant to work with lead teachers in classrooms and other settings, including lunch and recess. The role supports a college-going mission and student success through interventions, 1:1 support, and small group instruction.

The position emphasizes collaboration with families, instructional planning, and ensuring safety and compliance across the school day.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree is required.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Substitute Permit is preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English is preferred.
• Experience working with school-aged children, particularly with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom learning with 1:1 or small group instruction.
• Assist with behavioral/medical needs and interventions.
• Support campus supervision before, during, and after school; may assist bus/van duties.
• Communicate with families; participate in key community events.
• Assist Special Education Teacher with clerical tasks and translations.
• Lead the classroom in the lead teacher's absence.
• Participate in professional development and planning sessions.
