Job summary

Belle Plaine Schools is accepting applications for a Long Term Substitute Special Education Paraprofessional at Chatfield Elementary (PreK-Grade 2). Work days are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., from December 13, 2024 to January 24, 2025.

Experience working with special education students is preferred. A highly qualified paraprofessional license or passing the para pro test is required; background checks will be conducted upon hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; minimal experience with the assigned student group.
• Highly qualified paraprofessional license, or passing the para pro test.
• Background check required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with students, teachers and/or parents, supervising and engaging in learning activities.
• Sets up art supplies and materials for classes; cleans up after activities.
• Distributes and organizes supplies; stocks materials.
• Maintains materials and assists with classroom routines and safety knowledge.
• Assists with reviewing and correcting student work.
