Job summary

Lakeville Area Schools in Minnesota seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional-Long Term Substitute to join our special education team at Lake Marion Elementary School.

You will support academic programs, lead small groups, provide one-to-one follow-up, and help implement IEP accommodations to promote student success. This role requires an AA degree (or ParaPro) and entails mobility and daily living support as needed.

Qualifications

• AA degree (minimum of 60 college credits) or successful Para Pro test or Para Educator Assessment required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the special education team.
• Lead small groups and provide one-to-one follow-up to keep students on-task.
• Support IEP accommodations and adaptations to promote student independence.
• Provide feedback to teachers on student activities, participation, and behavior.
• Assist with development of communication, social and functional skills.
• Assist with mobility, daily living activities, and safe transitions as needed.
