Explore Schools is looking for an Elementary Special Education Teacher to serve students in Brooklyn, NY, supporting K-5 with IEPs and inclusive instruction. This on-site, exempt role emphasizes data-driven, differentiated teaching and collaboration with grade teams.

You have a Bachelor's degree and NYS teaching certification preferred; Master’s in Education preferred. 2 years of classroom experience strongly preferred. This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; NYS certification preferred.
• 2 years classroom experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with IEPs and diverse learners preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted small group or co-taught instruction.
• Deliver differentiated instruction aligned to IEP goals.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams across content areas.
• Plan universal instruction to meet rigorous standards.
• Participate in MTSS and IEP meetings; monitor progress.
• Engage in identity work to dismantle white supremacy culture.
• Maintain caseload compliance and communicate with families.
• Use Responsive Classroom strategies to foster inclusion.
• Attend PLCs, grade meetings, and PD sessions.
