We are seeking an Elementary Special Education Teacher (Reading Focus) to join CPA’s Special Education team. This Teacher will provide direct and indirect service to eligible students in CPA’s 1st grade through 4th grade. This teacher will also oversee due process requirements for the students on his or her caseload, direct the work of program paraprofessionals, collaborate with classroom teachers and administrators in support of student academic and social/emotional success, monitor student progress and facilitate due process meetings.
The qualified applicant will hold a MN Teaching license in Special Education. He or she will also possess strong cross-cultural communication and collaboration skills with students, families and staff, and will demonstrate an unyielding commitment to helping all students attain high academic and ethical standards of performance.
Special Education Teachers at CPA are supported by a full-time, on-site Special Education Director, a Special Education due process coordinator, and School Psychologist. All new teachers are paired with a Mentor.
