Job summary

Soliant Health in Minnesota is seeking a Special Education Lead Teacher to guide K-5 students and tailor learning experiences. This contract role centers on fostering a positive, supportive environment and collaborating with a building principal to implement tailored educational plans.

You will lead instructional programs, develop IEPs with families and staff, provide direct instruction, coach paraprofessionals, and monitor progress to ensure inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Valid Special Education teaching license for K-5
• Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-aged children in a special education setting
• Strong knowledge of federal and state special education regulations and compliance
• Ability to create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Excellent interpersonal skills for team and family collaboration
• Flexibility, creativity, and a passion for inclusive education

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating instructional programs for special education in an elementary setting
• Developing, reviewing, and revising IEPs in partnership with families and staff
• Providing direct individualized and small group instruction for students with exceptionalities
• Coaching and supporting paraprofessionals, ensuring consistency and quality in support services
• Monitoring student progress and adjusting interventions as needed
• Working as a collaborative resource for colleagues, fostering a positive and inclusive school culture
