Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students onsite. You will deliver individualized instruction, develop IEPs, and collaborate with general education teachers and specialists in a structured 35-hour workweek.

This contract role offers weekly pay and benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, plus a 401(k). You’ll collect data, maintain documentation, and communicate with families to help every student thrive.

Qualifications

• Valid Maryland Special Education Teaching License.
• Experience in schools or similar educational settings.
• Ability to differentiate instruction and modify curriculum.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction tailored to each student’s IEP.
• Develop, implement, and regularly update IEPs in coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure student success.
• Collect and analyze data to track student progress and inform instruction.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in compliance with state guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with families, administrators, and fellow professionals.
• Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
