Job summary

Bilingual Therapies is seeking a dedicated Special Education teacher for an on-site, full-time contract serving elementary students, with a portion of middle school caseload in a welcoming school environment. Qualifications

• Active LBS1 PEL required.
• Experience with elementary-aged students; familiarity with middle school a plus.
• Knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and adapting curriculum.
• Ability to implement effective instructional strategies for diverse learning needs.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and related service providers.
• Commitment to inclusive education and supporting students’ individual goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and interventions to students with a variety of learning differences.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports as required.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure optimal learning environments.
• Engage regularly with families to foster positive home-school connections.
• Create a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom atmosphere.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing learning opportunities.
