Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in a 12-week, full-time contract from August 2026 through November 2026, with a 32–37.5 hour work week, Monday to Friday, in a supportive academic setting.

The role focuses on a K-4 caseload and requires collaboration with families and colleagues to foster growth, achievement, and individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with specialized needs.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Special Education Teacher certification.
• Prior experience in a K-4 setting is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of and adherence to current special education laws and best practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Flexibility and organizational skills for managing diverse student needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, adapt, and deliver lessons tailored to a K-4 elementary special education caseload.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and parents to ensure student progress.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student goals and achievements.
• Utilize appropriate classroom management strategies.
• Support students in both academic and social-emotional growth.
