Job summary

Stewartville School District is seeking dedicated Special Education Support Professionals (Paraprofessionals) to support students with disabilities in accessing the curriculum, participating in school activities, and making meaningful progress toward their educational goals.

Under licensed staff, you will help implement IEPs and provide academic, behavioral, social, and personal care support while promoting student independence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required or equivalent.
• Associate degree, 60 credits, or passing ParaPro assessment preferred.
• Previous experience with children or individuals with disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing IEPs and supporting academic, behavioral, social, and personal care needs.
• Provide supervision and support in various school settings.
• Collaborate with teachers and service providers to maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Maintain student confidentiality and dignity at all times.
