Job summary

Goshen Community Schools seeks a Long Term Substitute Speech/Language Pathologist at West Goshen Elementary for the 2026-27 school year. The role focuses on diagnosing and treating speech, language, and hearing problems within the educational setting, coordinating with teachers and staff.

The substitute SLP will conduct screens, evaluate needs, develop IEPs, monitor progress, and participate in case conferences. Certification by the Indiana Department of Education is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech, language, hearing screens.
• Diagnose and evaluate speech, language and hearing skills as related to educational, medical, social, and psychological factors.
• Plan, direct and conduct habilitative and rehabilitative treatment programs to develop communicative efficiency.
• Provide counseling and guidance in speech and language development therapy to enhance disabled individuals.
• Develop individualized educational plans for students to meet individual needs, interests, and abilities.
• Report progress on IEP goals on a quarterly basis.
• Attend/hold case conferences within guidelines established through Article 7.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team for evaluation and programming.
