Job summary

New London- Spicer School District is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a long-term substitute position at Prairie Woods Elementary School. The assignment is estimated between mid-December 2026 and May 28, 2027, with duties including assessing students, designing plans, and participating in the Child Study Team.

The SLP will write IEPs, meet with parents, and collaborate with teachers to implement therapies, while maintaining compliance with special education procedures and district

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
Minnesota licensure as Educational Speech/Language Pathologist.
Strong knowledge of IEP processes and special education.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Identify and assess speech/language deviations through screening and referrals.
Develop and implement therapy plans for students.
Write and review IEPs with Child Study Team.
Collaborate with staff, parents, and outside agencies.
Provide in-services on speech and language disorders.
Maintain documentation and report on student progress.
Travel between schools as needed.
