Qualifications

Valid Illinois PEL with endorsement in Speech Language Pathology.
ASHA CCCs highly recommended.
Valid IDFPR license for Speech Language Pathology.
Knowledge of state and federal special education laws.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
Ability to case manage speech-only students with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Assess and treat communication disorders including articulation, language, fluency, voice, and feeding.
Write and implement IEPs for students.
Collaborate with staff to achieve IEP goals.
Use best practice therapy techniques to help students meet goals.
Maintain data to track progress toward goals.
Educate teachers and parents about the role of the SLP.
Follow district policies and procedures and ethical standards.
