Sd308 is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a leave-cover assignment at Churchill Elementary School. The contract runs from March 1, 2027 through May 28, 2027, with a daily rate of $125 for the first ten days and $150 for each day thereafter.

The role requires licensure in Illinois with an SLP endorsement, and familiarity with SPED laws, IEPs, and collaboration with school staff, parents, and students to support communication goals.

Formación

• Valid Illinois Professional Education License (PEL) with endorsement in Speech Language Pathology.
• ASHA CCCs highly recommended.
• Valid IDFPR license in Speech Language Pathology.
• Knowledge of state and federal SPED laws and assessment/treatment procedures.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Ability to case manage speech-only students and collaborate with parents, teachers, staff.

Responsabilidades

• Assess and treat various communication disorders (articulation, phonology, receptive/expressive language, fluency, voice, feeding/swallowing).
• Write and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate with staff to achieve students’ IEP goals.
• Use best-practice therapy techniques to help students meet goals.
• Maintain data documenting progress toward goals.
• Educate teachers, staff, and parents about the role of the SLP.
• Follow district policies and procedures; adhere to ethical standards.
