Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Alabama teaching certificate in the grade level and subject area(s) assigned.
• Ability to meet suitability criteria under the Alabama Child Protection Act of 1999 and Act No. 2002-457.
• Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration to maximize student achievement.
• Ability to develop and implement curriculum and programming for designated grades/subjects.
• Ability to identify and solve problems as a productive team member.
• Ability to use technology to communicate, plan, instruct, manage data, and prepare reports.
• Physical strength, mobility, stamina, and attendance, with the ability to perform job duties.
• Punctuality and regular attendance; alternatives as the Board may require.
