Job summary

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree and a valid Alabama teaching certificate.
Fingerprint clearance from Alabama State Department of Education prior to start date.
Masters degree may be required for certain certified teacher positions.

Responsibilities

Teach the Alabama Course of Study (ACOS) with fidelity.
Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and tests per established procedures.
Instruct and monitor students using learning materials and equipment.
Use technology to support and differentiate instruction.
Manage student behavior by establishing and enforcing rules.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with families.
Participate in department, school, district and parent meetings.
Observe and evaluate students, assign and grade work.
