Job summary

Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School in Worcester, MA, is seeking an Elementary School Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. The teacher will foster an inclusive learning environment and model the school’s mission and character virtues.

The position is full-time and exempt, following the School Year calendar with an instructional salary scale. Occasional weekends may be required for events; travel between classrooms is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject area. Master’s degree preferred.
• Massachusetts educator license or MTEL within first year of employment as required by DESE.
• SEI Endorsement for ELL students within one year of assignment.

Responsibilities

• Model the school’s mission and character virtues.
• Demonstrate deep knowledge of subject areas and pedagogy.
• Plan instruction aligned to curriculum goals and create engaging lessons.
• Assess student progress using multiple forms of assessment and report data to families.
• Integrate technology effectively into instruction and support student engagement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum and instructional effectiveness.
