Job summary

Jordan School District in Utah is seeking an Elementary School Teacher for Kindergarten to join our licensed faculty. The position requires a valid USBE professional educator license or eligibility via the Associate Educator License (AEL) and the district’s APPEL pathway.

Applicants must provide proof of AEL before entering the candidate pool, and enrollment in a teacher certification program may be accepted in lieu of an AEL.

All applicants must have a Professional Educator License awarded by the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) or apply for an Associate Educator License (AEL) to be eligible to apply to Jordan School District and participate in our Alternate Pathway to Professional Educator Licensing (APPEL) Program when hired.

UTAH STATE RETIREMENT

Benefit eligible employees are automatically members of the Utah Retirement Systems (URS). This means that the District contributes into the URS plan on your behalf each month. After the URS vesting period of four years, you will have either the Hybrid option, which is a combination of a pension with a 401k plan, or the 401k option if you choose.
