KIPP NYC is seeking a School Social Worker for an elementary school in NYC. The role focuses on emotional, social, academic, and character growth, supporting students and families to succeed in school and beyond.

Responsibilities include direct counseling, crisis intervention, scheduling, IEP coordination, referrals, family engagement, and collaboration with principals, deans, teachers and external agencies. Spanish language skills preferred; LMSW/LCSW credential required.

Formación

• LMSW or LCSW licensure required.
• Experience in schools or with teenagers preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish-English preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct individual and group counseling to students and families.
• Coordinate IEP-related supports and documentation.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and external agencies.
• Conduct assessments and referrals for social services.
