KIPP NYC is seeking an Elementary School Social Worker to support emotional, social, academic and character growth for students and families. This full-time role focuses on direct services, crisis intervention, and coordinating referrals to external services while collaborating daily with school staff.

The position requires LMSW/LCSW licensure, experience in schools or with teens, Spanish fluency preferred, and dedication to trauma-informed practice.

Qualifications

• Licensed social worker with LMSW or LCSW licensure in NY preferred.
• Experience in school settings or work with teens.
• Fluency in Spanish preferred.
• Trauma-informed practice experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct services to the school community, including one-on-one or group counseling.
• Manage, track, and document student interactions and counseling schedule.
• Collaborate with supervisors, colleagues, and teachers to meet students’ needs.
• Coordinate referrals for social services and special education, including IEPs.
• Support engagement activities with families and students and participate in meetings.
