Job summary

Prospect Schools seeks a licensed social worker to support socio-emotional needs across its Brooklyn network of seven schools. You will report to the Director of Student Supports or the Director of Student Affairs and provide counseling, crisis response, and collaboration with teachers and families.

The role emphasizes building an inclusive school environment, coordinating with community partners, and leading workshops to support students and families.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Social Work is required.
• At least 2 years of social work/counseling experience, preferably in a school setting.
• Exceptionally strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Adept at collaborating and building community with others.

Responsibilities

• Design and support socio-emotional development through counseling, including individual and group sessions and crisis support.
• Lead mandated reporter training and assist with IEP and evaluation processes.
• Support attendance initiatives, family workshops, and school-wide systems to promote safety and inclusivity.
