Job summary

Kelly Pediatric Therapy in Abington, PA seeks a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide school-based services in an elementary school. This maternity coverage starts in February and continues through the 2026–2027 school year, with potential to return or transition to another role within Kelly Pediatric Therapy.

Ideal candidates enjoy working with elementary students, collaborate with educators, participate in IEP meetings, and stay current with school OT practices.

Qualifications

• OT licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and eligible to work in a school setting.
• Experience with IEP processes and school-based therapy preferred.
• Ability to screen, evaluate, and implement therapy plans aligned to educational goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and/or group occupational therapy services aligned with students’ educational needs and IEP goals.
• Screen and evaluate students using appropriate assessment tools and procedures.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy interventions based on student needs.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support carryover of skills across the classroom and school environment.
• Provide consultation and support to educators and families regarding student needs and appropriate strategies.
• Make recommendations regarding adaptive equipment, materials, and environmental modifications when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with state and federal requirements and school policies.
• Collaborate with other professionals to support students’ participation, independence, and success in the educational environment.
• Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based practices in school-based occupational therapy.
• Follow applicable federal and state regulations, professional standards, and school policies.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed based on student and district needs.
