Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a contract Occupational Therapist to support an elementary school-based caseload near San Marcos, CA. The role runs 37.5 hours per week from August 18 through December, with a strong likelihood of extension, and focuses on medically fragile students within a collaborative educational setting.

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist license in California.
• Experience in a school-based OT setting, preferably with elementary-aged students.
• Familiarity with therapy and interventions for medically fragile populations.
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes, documentation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with staff, students, and families.
• Ability to organize caseload and balance priorities in a dynamic school environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess students’ needs and develop individualized therapeutic plans, tailoring support to each child’s unique challenges.
• Deliver direct therapy and consultative services to students, adapting strategies for medically fragile students as required.
• Collaborate regularly with teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure integrated care.
• Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to progress reports, and maintain thorough, timely documentation of all services provided.
• Provide resources and recommendations for classroom adaptations and assistive technology that support student participation and access.
• Support staff and family education regarding the needs of students receiving OT services.
